Privacy notice

Notice under articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, concerning the processing of personal data connected to the use of this website.

Data controller

Browsing data

The systems hosting this website record, in their normal operation, data whose transmission is implicit in Internet communication protocols: IP address, browser and operating system type, date and time of the request, address of the requested resource and outcome of the request.

These data are used solely for IT security, for fault diagnosis and to derive aggregate statistics on the use of the site. They are not associated with identified users and are not used for profiling. The legal basis is the controller's legitimate interest in the security and correct operation of the service.

Access logs are kept for the time needed for the purposes above and in any case no longer than the terms set by university rules, unless they must be retained longer at the request of the judicial authority.

Personal data published on the site

The site shows the name, role, field of activity, institutional email address and photograph of lab members, along with the names of the authors of scientific publications. Publication serves the institutional purposes of communication and dissemination of research results, and is carried out for the performance of a task in the public interest under article 6(1)(e) of the Regulation.

Anyone appearing on the site may at any time request the correction or removal of their data by writing to the head of the lab.

Email communications

The site has no contact forms and collects no data entered by users. If you write to one of the published institutional addresses, your message and the data it contains are processed in order to answer your request, within the university email infrastructure.

Recipients and transfers

Browsing data are processed by authorised technical staff and by the infrastructure service providers, appointed as processors under article 28 of the Regulation. Data are not disseminated or disclosed to third parties for purposes other than those stated.

Rights of data subjects

Data subjects have the rights set out in articles 15 to 22 of the Regulation: access to their data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and portability where applicable. Requests should be addressed to the controller or to the Data Protection Officer at the contacts given above.

A complaint may also be lodged with the Italian Data Protection Authority, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome, or a judicial remedy may be sought.
